I'm not a writer but my heart likes to write at times.

This quote by John Maxwell is so true.  You can know just about everything and it's not even on the same dimension as letting people know how much you care.  It feels good to know someone who cares.

I have learned a lot about health and fitness over the past year.  I'm an independent marketer for a wellness company.  I've decided this year to get serious about my own fitness and taking steps to make sure my health is the best it can be.  I wish I could tell you that I have arrived and I am happy, healthy, and fit.  Well, that's not exactly the case.  1 out of 3 ain't bad...okay I know the song was "2 out 3 Ain't Bad".

I am very happy and I still have some work to do on healthy and fit part.  I'm on no prescription drug, that’s good right?  I'm overweight, I don't exercise, and diabetes runs in my family, heart issues, and now cancer.  It's not so much about a wake-up call as it’s more about knowing about my health and that there are little things that can make a big difference.

The difference is the people who are teaching me about my about health and fitness and not what they know as much as HOW Much they care about me and people that they reach out to everyday.  They have gotten my attention to the point that I can hear what they are saying now because I'm listening differently.

So many times being a marketer it's all about the numbers and the money...Oh, and by the way we have great products too.  Something is different this time for me.  It has always been about the products and even more than that it's been about concern for other people's lives and health.

I am starting with little steps toward finding that healthy, slender, active body and it's not happening overnight.  Why is it that sometimes we have put on weight over many years or maybe a lifetime and yet we expect to come off in 4 weeks?

I believe the secret to my success with my journey to my health, slender, active body will be the people I surround myself with.  They are people who will encourage me and hold me accountable because they care.  I have access to people who will forget more about health than I will ever remember.  It's their caring spirit that catches my attention every time.

I also know that when I take off my marketer hat and just care about people I see the greatest rewards...getting to make a difference in someone's health.  My hope is that you will start your journey today to a healthy, slender, active body.  Not so much they way I will do things but what is right for you.  Stop back by and let me know how you are doing.

Remember...it’s not how much you know...it’s how much you care!  Care enough to decide that you deserve to be happy, healthy, and fit.
